This practice is individualized and open for all levels. The sequence is given one by one in sequential order and taught under the guidance of a teacher in the Mysore room, within a group class setting. Students practice the sequence in their own pace working through any imbalances or issues with the support of the teacher. This allows the student to be able to build a strong and steady base; cultivating the right foundation and method of practice, allowing to progress a lot further than a led class.
The primary series is a challenging and invigorating sequence of postures. The postures are strengthening, toning and cleansing for the muscles, joints and internal organs. During the primary led classes, the students are guided in unison through the postures of the sequence and provided with variations of poses that prove challenging. The class includes postures, breathing, meditation and chanting.
